The assignment of pre-prepared reports to report categories (Summary, Improve, Continue combined with management level) is described below, following a few explanations:
Rule-based Best Practices Recommendations
To help managers at any level of the organization interpret their business unit’s survey results, Engage INSIGHT applies logic rules to the outcomes of a Flow@Work™ engagement survey to recommend best practices that will effectively address the engagement-related focus areas that have been identified. The logic rules:
- Are applied to the aggregate survey responses of the selected business unit, including sub-units if any;
- Use Boolean logic (AND and OR statements) to combine any permutation of survey constructs and/or survey questions;
- Evaluate survey scores either against absolute values or relatively by comparing them to the organizational average.
The best practice recommendations which are bundled as part of the Flow@Work™ engagement model have been developed by an international team of Industrial/Organizational Psychology researchers and experienced Organizational Development experts. The recommendations have been designed to be actionable, appropriate to each leader’s level of organizational authority, and based on an in-depth understanding of the kinds of efforts that produce observable change within organizations.
Management Levels
To ensure that best practice recommendations are appropriate and relevant to a manager’s level of organizational authority, different sets of rule-based recommendations can be defined and associated with up to 5 different managerial levels.
At the highest level (Level #1 – executive/organization) the recommendations mostly apply to organizational culture, policies and repeatable processes that address organizational challenges. Recommendations at the lowest level (Level #5 – front-line managers) most frequently focus on leadership style and team management. Recommendations at the intermediate levels (Levels #2, #3 & #4) represent a combination of the approaches followed for Level #1 and Level #5 recommendations, providing extensive input on organizational direction and pursuing that direction through line and/or project managers.
Customizing the Recommendations
The best practice recommendations are available as reports, which can be edited and adapted via Mindset's Engage REPORTS product, to address the organization’s unique culture and ensure that the structure, HR and learning practices of the organization are accurately reflected. Learning materials and online content can be embedded in any of the reports, providing managers with online, just-in-time learning facilities. Engage INSIGHT Assign reports
Users logged in as System Administrators will be allowed to assign pre-prepared reports to the Engage INSIGHT report categories associated with the selected Model.
Firstly, ensure that the Select Assessment Model dropdown has been set to the model whose associated reports are to be assigned. Pre-prepared reports can then be assigned according to the Insight page: Summary, Improve or Continue in combination with the applicable management level, to which they apply.
